Thor: Love and thunder is the fourth film of “thor” and will release on May 6, 2022. The film is obviously nothing without Chris Hemsworth and he will definitely continue to play Thor. In addition to Hemsworth’s return, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Karen Gillian and Christian Bale will make an appearance too.
Now, the big question is, what about Lady Sif and Loki? Sif has appeared in two thor movies and also in episodes of Agents of SHIELD. In the early Marvel Cinematic Universe, her character is one of the God’s of thunder. So, will Sif and Loki appear in thor 4? Let’s find out!
Will Loki really return in Thor: Love and thunder?
Firstly, it would only make sense for Sif to appear in the Disney+ series’s Loki. In this way, a chance of appearing Thor: Love and thunder may happen. In Disney’s Loki, the story centralizes on Thor’s brother escaping SHIELD with the space stone. Some people believe that Loki will meet Sif according to an Instagram post. In that post, Jamie Alexander exposes her travel to Atlanta, where consequently Loki is being filmed in.
As seen in the final moments of Avengers Infinity War, Loki dies in the hands of Thanos. Marvel may be planning to move on from his character or bring him back in another universe. Perhaps 2012 Loki could return in the fourth Thor film. As the Marvel movies and shows deals heavily with time travelling and multi-universe, Thor 4 may not be a part of this. Bringing Loki back into the life of Thor could deem problematic.
If Loki happens to tag along with Sif, both of their return in the fourth part is likely. He can appear as her prisoner or also keep a lookout for Loki. In this way, Loki can definitely reunite with his brother in Thor 4. It would be a bittersweet reunion for the two brothers! Loki’s Disney show may portray another time period but the original arc that ended in Infinity war does not include him.
