Is Zoe Saldana returning in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3? We think yes.
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s one of the most loved film franchises is Guardians of The Galaxy. Marvel has announced the 3rd installment of Guardians named Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 will come to the theaters in 2022.
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3
Director and writer James Gunn has finally kicked off the pre-production of the upcoming movie after a long delay due to lockdown. Currently, the star character Peter Quill aka Star lord played by Chris Pratt is busy shooting for Thor: Love & Thunder in Australia. So we assume the filming of GOG Vol 3 will start after Thor 4’s shooting gets completed.
There is a big question of who will return and join GOG Vol 3. One of the suspected characters is Gamora. Gamora, originally Thanos’s daughter, is a hardcore assassin and dynamic superhero. Gamora is played by actress Zoe Saldana. Zoe has played Gamora in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 1 and 2.
Return of Gamora
Zoe is likely to return in the 3rd part too. As the storyline needs it so. In Avengers: Endgame(2019) Gamora is resurrected and her 2014 version returns in the future in 2023 to fight Thanos. Star-lord meets her and tries to get her to remember everything but, the new Gamora hasn’t been in the future timeline yet, where she joins the Guardians.
It is not easy to bring Gamora back with the Guardians but the story might follow how she reacts and adopts her fate.
Other Cast
Though only the movie announcement has been made so far. But no cast list has been provided officially. Chris Pratt(Star lord) will surely return with the other Guardians- Dave Bautista(Drax), Bradley Cooper(Rocket the Raccoon), Karen Gillian(Nebula), Vin Diesel(Groot), Pom Klementieff(Mantis) and Zoe Saldana(Gamora).
Here Zoe’s character development is still in big confusion. Also in the Endgame movie Thor (Chris Hemsworth), joins the Guardians as a new member, so we may see him too.
In 2019, Zoe made a wish to Gamora play a villainous role in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3. Though it is not officially approved yet, if it happens, Zoe’s Gamora will become a totally different person. Fans will get to see her negative assassin side again. The Peter Quill- Gamora relation will start from the very first. We have to wait to watch what James Gunn does to Gamora in his future films.
