Konohamaru and Mugino, who just discovered a crashed airship near the Land of Fire, realise that the mission is more dangerous than they have thought. After finding a data entry point, Konohamru begins to copy the data of the empty container. Meanwhile, Mugino is attacked by automatons and one of the automatons even manages to stab him. When more number of automatons, Konohamru and Mugino tries to escape the site.

In the next episode, we may potentially see Ao back in combat, who claimed he hasn’t done so for sixteen years. Team 7 meet with Naruto and Shikamaru along with Sasuke at the Hokage’s office. Naruto asks Sasuke whether he found new details about the evil organization, Kara. Sasuke reveals that he hasn’t found any worthwhile information and suddenly Dr Katasuke.
Boruto gets angry after seeing the doctor, as he blames him for rigging his Chunin Exams. Due to the past experiences with the Scientific Ninja Tools, Boruto despises the tool. Hokage orders Team 7 to escort the doctor to an advanced research lab. Boruto walks away and doesn’t want to accept the mission, but comes around later. While boarding the Thunder Train, the gang meets Ao.
After a discussion with Ao, Boruto realises that the Scientific Tools aren’t that bad. Ao tells him that the tools aren’t good or bad, it depends upon how you use them. Boruto likes the words of the former Kiri shinobi and wishes to meet him again. Elsewhere, Jigen reveals to Amado that Victor isn’t the traitor and Amado affirms that he will investigate and find the traitor.
The next episode’s preview features Team 7 at the Advanced Technology Research Institute at Ryutan City. Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada engage in sparring with the use of Ninja Tools.
