Katheryn Winnick is a Canadian actress, born on December 17, 1977. She has starred in numerous films and web series and has of course become a fan-favourite. Lets dive in to look at some of her iconic films.
Vikings
Written by Michael Hirst, Vikings is a historical drama based television series. It’s first season was aired on March 3, 2013, in Canada and since then it has earned huge success. Katheryn Winnick has played the iconic role of Lagertha in this Amazon Prime series, which has gained her much praise over its six seasons.
While speaking of her on-screen character, the actress said, “Like her, I refuse to play second fiddle. She won’t sit at home and take care of the kids while he goes out to explore. No way – she goes out and fights. Lagertha is strong, but she also has faults…what I love about Lagertha is that she has conflicts and flaws and she questions things… she’s not just a strong vixen.”
Stand Up Guys
Fisher Stevens’ Stand Up Guys is an American dark comedy-buddy film, released in 2012. It starred actors like Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin. Katheryn played the role of Oxana in this movie.
