Amber Heard and Johnny Depp
Recently, Johnny Depp, known for his prominent character Captain Jack Sparrow, was allegedly accused by his ex-wife Amber heard. Amber heard is an American actress known for playing a role opposite to Jason Momoa in Aquaman.
But first, the back story!
This couple was dating since 2012. It was in the news when they got engaged. Later, in 2015, the couple married in a private ceremony. After this, the coupe was in all the headlines as Amber has filed a divorce in 2016. She accused that Johnny abuses her with the influence of drugs or alcohol. Although, Johnny kept on refusing these accusations.
They both made a statement publically saying, “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”
In 2017 the divorce was finally done and she received $7 Million from divorce. Some sources claim that she donated them as a charity.
Later when things were done and dusted, Amber posted a statement in The Washington Post “I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out”. Although, Johnny was not mentioned in the statement.
In 2019, Johnny Depp sued Amber for claiming wrong allegations on him in The Washington Post. To which Amber said she still got scars of the abuse done by Johnny Depp and called him a monster.
Table Turned!
In 2020, this story took a great turn when a phone recording of Amber Heard was leaked. The phone conversation was about her accepting “Hitting” Depp. Which clearly showed she was lying all this time. It was Depp who was harassed domestically not Amber. Let’s look at the conversation:
Amber: “I’m sorry that I didn’t … hit you across the face in a proper slap, but I was hitting you, it was not punching you. Babe, you’re not punched. I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was, but you’re fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you.”
Depp: “I left last night. Honestly, I swear to you because I just couldn’t take the idea of more physicality, more physical abuse on each other. Because had we continued it, it would have gotten f—ing bad. And baby, I told you this once. I’m scared to death we are a f—ing crime scene right now.”
Amber: “I can’t promise you I won’t get physical again. God, I f—ing sometimes get so mad I lose it.”
After this, Ryder and Paradis wrote in support of Depp,
Ryder said, “The idea that he is an incredibly violent person is the farthest thing from the Johnny I knew and loved. I cannot wrap my head around these accusations”.
Paradis said, “Nothing like the true Johnny I have known, and from my personal experience of many years, I can say he was never violent or abusive to me.”
Who loses what?
Amber played the character of Mera in Aquaman which was liked by everyone. It was in the news that she has been thrown out of the Jason Momoa starter movie, Aquaman.
