A Netflix American musical comedy-drama based on a character of Archie Comics, developed by Roberto Agquirre Sacasa. The series was of Berlanti production with partnership with Archie Comics, CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros.
Katy Keene is a spin-off of Riverdale. After the release of Season 1, the show cancelled. The actress of Pretty Little Liars, Lucy Hale played Katy Keene character in Katy Keene. The story was about Katy, a fashion designer, who trys to find her way in New York City.
The Reason of cancellation
Later, Season 1 of Katy Keene released on the CW website on February 6, 2020. Immediately in July 2020, the series was deleted from the CW website. Moreover, the series didn’t perform well on HBO Max’s platform and CW Network.
Later on, Lucy Hale confirmed the cancellation of Katy Keene Season 1 with an emotional video on social media saying “The Role Of a Lifetime” Meanwhile, the sources said that the series had a lot of fashion, colour, glitz and glam and this became the another reason of not gaining enough popularity.
