Riverdale
An American web series on Netflix, a teen drama, based on Archie Comics’ characters. Riverdale, a hit show, is finally realising the season 5 after a hold because of the coronavirus pandemic. Netflix has confirmed the release of season 5 through the trailer launch and later it was disclosed the cast of the season as well.
What’s in Season 5?
Earlier the season four was also cut short because of the pandemic and security reasons. The sources have confirmed the date of the Season 5, January 20, 2021.
Moreover, the playwriter Roberto Aguirre Sacasa said that episode 1 of Season 5 will have a connection between the season 4 last ep. Furthermore, Lilli Reinhart has also spoken about Season 5 on the sets of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
She says,” We’re actually doing a seven-year time jump into the future so we’re not going to be teenagers anymore. I’m really psyched about it. I think it will be really nice to play an adult. But I also really appreciate that Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa], our showrunner, said let’s revamp. So we’re not just stuck in high school for seven seasons.”
The cast of Season 5
Talking about cast of Season 5. Well, the whole cast isn’t confirmed but Netflix has confirmed a few casts. Lilli Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Camila Mendes and KJ Apa is expected to return. Also, Geko is confirmed to play by Chris Mason.

It’s great news for the fans of Riverdale. 20 January 2021 is the official release of Season 5, we all are excited and can’t wait to see it on Netflix.
