Rimuru Tempest is leading a busy life in the Jura-Tempest Federation as the ruler of the newly found nation of monsters. Tempest was reincarnated in the new world as a slime after he was stabbed in the middle of the street in the real world. He quickly acquired a set of new skills as slime and befriended the powerful Storm Dragon Veldora, which granted him more power and abilities.
Rimuru later achieved a human form after devouring Shizu and her flame spirit, Ifrit. Shizu asks Rimuru to save her five students, who were also brought to this world like Shizu and Rimuru. To honour Shizu’s wish, Tempest visits the students in Ingrassia and act as their teacher. The children would survive if spirits inhabited their body. So, Rimuru takes them to the Dwelling of Spirits and subsequently saves them.
The next episode of the second season — Trade with the Animal Kingdom — will air in Japan on 19 January 2021. Every new episode of the anime television series will air on Tuesday at 11:00 PM JST. Crunchyroll and AnimeLab also stream the new episode of the anime after airing in Japan.

In the second season premiere, Rimuru is continuing his work as the ruler of Jura-Tempest Federation and as the teacher of Shizu’s students. Rimuru signed a non-aggression pact with the Animal Kingdom of Eurazania so that they would enjoy peace and end all hostilities. The two nations later decided to send delegates to visit and learn about each other’s nation.
Rimuru asks Tiss to take care of the children until he gets back from the nation of the monsters. However, the children aren’t happy since their beloved teacher is leaving them even for a short time. Meanwhile, Benimaru is heading to the Animal Kingdom along with Rigur as his assistant as Jura-Tempest Federation’s delegate. Yoma has also returned to the nation just before the arrival of delegates from Animal Kingdom.
The delegates from the Animal Kingdom has arrived on the nations of monsters. After exchanging few welcome words, Rimuru unknowingly instigates a fight between the delegates and his nation. The delegates from the Animal Kingdom are Demon Lors Carrion’s three Beastketeers. Shuna clashes with Suphia while Youm fights a male Beastkeeers.
