Hello, folks a warm welcome to you all. Today we are going to talk about the most awaited sequel of all times. Do you guys remember the super hit horror movie ‘Don’t Breathe‘? Off-Course you do because it was so awesome and terrifying.
This horror thriller movie is coming back with its second part. The shooting of the Don’t Breathe 2 is all wrapped up and it will hit the big screens in August 2021.
Don’t Breathe (2016)
The first part of Don’t Breathe was released more than four years ago back in the year 2016 and despite a low budget movie it was a complete hit. The budget of Don’t Breathe was less than 10 Million Dollars and after it was released it was a big hit and it managed to earn one hundred and seventeen million dollars in ticket sales.
Don’t Breathe is a horror story which starred Stephen Lang as a blind man, Jane Levy as Rocky, Dylan Minnette as Alex, Daniel Zovatto as Money and Sergej Onopko as Trevor. This thriller story revolves around three friends who are thieves and always break in different houses in search of money.
But this one time these three break into a blind man’s house so that they can rob him. They thought that it will be a piece of cake but soon the simplest task of their lives became a nightmare for all of them and two lost their lives and one was able to escape but she also faced the near-death experience.
The movie did a pretty amazing job at the time when remakes, prequels and sequels were dominating the box office and the theaters. This movie earned the recognition at Critics Choice awards and the Empire Awards.
Don’t Breathe 2
After it was released the second part of the movie was already in the news and fans were expecting to see Fede Alvarez returning as a director but that never happened and this just became a rumour until the producer of the movie Sam Raimi showed up. At the same time, Raimi commented on the Don’t Breathe 2 as he said, “It’s only the greatest idea for a sequel I’ve ever heard. I’m not kidding.”
This just made sure that the work is in progress and the second part is happening and by the end of 2018 Fede confirmed that the script is ready. Then co-writer of the first part took on the role of Director as they started the filming of the movie last year.
On October 7, 2020, the villain of the movie Stephen Lang gave us updates that filming of the show is ongoing and he has completed the showing through his Twitter account. He tweeted, “I’m wrapped! A splendidly rugged shot. Thank you, Belgrade. All health and safety protocols observed to the letter. Well done all!”
In 2019 before the shooting of the second part, Lang praised the second part of the movie as she said, “I’ve read the screenplay and it’s really good.” Well, for now, it is uncertain whether we will Jane Levy again in the role of Rocky or not.
For now, the cast isn’t sure accept the blind man and villain of the movie Stephen Lang. but it is confirmed that filming of the movie is complete and it will hit the theaters on August 13, 2021.
