If you are an R. R. Martin fan, then you must be aware, or rather, waiting for the 6th novel in the series of A Song Of Ice And Fire.
Even if the fans have seen the TV show adaptation of the book series, it is still evident that the ending in the actual novel series will be way different. Because let’s face it. When have we ever seen an exact adaptation of a novel series into a movie of TV show?
However, the sixth novel in the series has not released yet and the fans are going bizarre over making up theories about the same. It seems that Martin is taking his own sweet time amidst the pandemic to write this novel.
Maybe because the pandemic has slowed down the process. Or maybe he wants to make sure that the final delivery is upto the expectations of the fans. Continue reading this article to know the reason!
Theories of TWOW delay.
The theories made by fans have been pretty crazy and a lot of them went off the hook when the time span got stretched even more, delaying the release of the new book. Apparently, the reason for the delay of his novel is the unexpected speed with which the TV adaptation of his novel received success.
It is evident that even though his writing pace is pretty slow, the producers and the creators of the show worked at a good speed while creating the show. Even though George R.R. Martin himself has not finished the novel series, the GOT series has come to an end. As we all know, the fans were not very happy with the ending.
Maybe it was obvious since they were unable to reach the creative writing and scripting standards of Martin. Martin claims that people underestimate the toll that speedy success can take on a writer’s creative juices.
He also mentions that such a kind of pace stresses him out and he has always been unable to keep up with it. Well, it does seem true. R.R. Martin has always delivered impeccable works because he takes his own sweet time reflecting on the characters of his stories. Each and every detail that is mentioned in his novels are very well thought out.
Thus, it only seems obvious that this novel will take more time than anticipated.
TWOW release date status.
So, will TWOW be released in 2020? No. It doesn’t seem like it. Considering the speed at which the novels are released, it seems to us that the release of this sixth one in the series will take more time.
However, it seems better that Martin is taking the time to release the novel. Because let’s face it, one bad book can disturb the career of a writer and him being how experienced he is, is probably planning out the best plan of action to reach the expectations of the fans.
