ABOUT THE SERIES:
Lost is an American TV series by ABC which was released on the 22nd of September, 2004 and was comprised of six seasons, and ended on the 23rd of May, 2010. It has a pretty great star cast which included Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, Terry O’Quinn, and many more.
It’s about a plane which was going from Sydney to LA crashed on an island and some survived. This show plays with the character’s emotional conflict and brings out the greater subplots of supernatural and Sci-fi. The show was critically acclaimed and almost 11 million people watched the show. It was also a financially profitable series.
ABOUT THE REBOOT:
The president of ABC network Karey Burke said in an interview they could make a reboot of the Lost franchise and it can also be a profitable venture. But The creators of the show are done with it and do not want to reboot it.
They have no interest in it whatsoever. some stars are also not happy with the statement by Karey Burke. one of them is Evangeline Lilly, who is also a part of MCU now. she played the character of Kate Austen in The series Lost and currently been playing Hope van Dyne aka Wasp in Ant-man and it’s sequels.
THE STATEMENT OF EVANGELINE LILLY:
Evangeline Lilly, when asked about the reboot was disappointing for her. She said she did not like the show to be rebooted because When a show or a movie is rebooted, it’s possible that the reboot has lost all of its successors’ essence.
she gave the example of Sat Wars and was pretty adamant about not doing the reboot herself. She also said that she also knows the original creator of the show Lost Damon Lindelof is also does not want to be a part of this new project.
