Whenever someone asks who was the best ‘Joker’? Then hands down ‘Heath Ledger’ was the best in ‘The Dark Knight’ directed by Christopher Nolan.
Many other actors have played the role of Joker before Heath Ledger and after him but still, he is the best.

Jared Leto is a 49-year-old American actor who played the role of ‘Joker’ in ‘Suicide Squad’. He has given many amazing performances and hit movies like Dallas Buyers Club, Requiem for a Dream etc.
This talented American actor got the name and fame after he was cast in the television series called ‘My So-Called Life’ and in this series, he played the role of Jordan Catalano.
Joaquin Phoenix and his role as ‘Joker’
Joaquin Phoenix is a 46-year-old American actor who played the role of ‘Joker’ in 2019 movie ‘Joker’. For his role in the 2019 hit movie, he received the Academy Award for Best Actor in Leading Role.
We know this talented actor from many super hit movies like Her, Walk the Line etc. He is a kind of actor and star who doesn’t require any kind of introduction.
Jared Leto vs Joaquin Phoenix
Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix both of them have the played the role of Joker on the big screen and fans have loved them. But there is always this question that who played the better role better.
It is without a doubt that Joaquin Phoenix was better than Jared. Joaquin Phoenix aka Arthur Fleck/ Joker nailed the performance. His laugh in the movie was amazing and astonishing which made his role better one than Jared whereas Jared’s laugh as Joker was the worst.
Joker in any movie is always shown as an insane one who is completely crazy and guess what Phoenix did that very easily and effortlessly. All that acting came naturally for him but Jared’s Joker doesn’t feel that insane and crazy and it was like he was trying too hard to fit in the character which worked against him.
Ok, laugh thing can be overlooked, trying too hard thing can be overlooked but a joker with a tattoo cannot. Like someone please explain how the hell a Joker ended up with tattoos. Jared’s joker tattoo was a huge mistake and a disappointment.
Jared’s joker wasn’t good because his joker was underdeveloped and in the movie it just appeared out of nowhere. All he did was a crack bunch of stupid jokes and made people uncomfortable.
Phoenix one was good and better I mean look at his joker the way he was walking and talking, he was dressed, that painting on his face and off course the laughing made him a complete and good joker.
Best Joker
It was very obvious that Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker was better than Jared’s one but Heath Ledger’s Joker was something else. In the whole Batman movie, Ledger’s joker was a pain in the ass for everyone from police to Batman.
His presence during the whole movie and all his mind tricks sometimes made people forget that this is a superhero movie as most of the times people were cheering and falling in love with Heath Ledger character.
In future hundreds of different Jokers are going to come but what Heath Ledger did no one will be able to do. Heath Ledger is the best joker.
In conclusion we can say Joaquin Phoenix is the one who played the Better Joker Post Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.
