Who is Nancy Pelosi and why her San Francisco home was vandalized

The new year has just begun and things don’t seem to be too nice for the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Last Friday morning, Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home was vandalised by unknown elements.

The offenders spray painted the garage with graffiti that said ‘Cancel Rent’ and ‘We Want Everything’, with $2K crossed out. Along with this, they also seem to have left a severed pig’s head with fake blood all over the floor.

But looking at the graffiti and what is written on it, it is possible that the people responsible could be related to the protests for rent cancellation and other such movements. The neighbours, however, feel shocked.

According to them, even if they do not like Pelosi, trespassing into her property and even destroying it is crazy. While they understand the anger that is erupting, actions like these result in nothing and do not help reaching a proper resolution.

The graffiti, as of now, is covered with garbage bags.

What Could Be the Reason?

Nancy Pelosi supported and led the passing of a bill which would have increased the amount of COVID stimulus checks from $600 to $2000. 275 member of the house voted in support of this while 134 voted against it. Both President Trump and the Democrats had mutually agreed to this.

The bill is currently put on hold in the Senate by Republican Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell.
