Amanda Michelle Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried is an American actress, born and bought up in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She began her modelling career at a very young age and has performed leading characters in many successful movies.
Moreover, she was offered a lead role in American Superhero film based on Marvel Comics, Guardians of the Galaxy(2014). But, she refused to take the role.
The reason to refuse the role
Recently, Amanda Seyfried on The Hollywood Reporter’s Award Chatter Podcast told a secret about herself. Where she mentioned the reason to turn down the proposal of the lead role in Guardians of the Galaxy.
So, she did this because she wasn’t sure about the movie. “Who wants to see a movie about a talking tree and racoon? Which is clearly I was wrong” Amanda to the host of the podcast, Scott Feinburg.
Amanda claimed that she feared the failure of the film at the box office and she wasn’t ready to take the risk. Everyone knows the movie at box-office can make or break an actor in Hollywood.
Later on, the role of Gamora was given to Zoe Saldana. The movie made $772 Million worldwide and became the third highest-grossing movie of the year.
