From a very little age, she worked on sketch comedy series, later this made the biggest breakthrough of her career. Only she was just 13 years old, she hosted and performed sketches on her own series, “The Amanda Show” on Nickelodeon.

Also in 2002, she landed a starring role in the WB sitcom What I Like About You from 2002 to 2006, where she co-starred with Jennie Garth.

Why she quit acting?
In 2010, she announce her retirement from acting on Twitter. Bynes has since opened up about how substance abuse led her to erratic behavior and trouble with the law following her retirement from acting. She was arrested in 2013 for reckless endangerment and attempted tampering with physical evidence.
Bynes said in the interview that “taking Adderall could have affected her performance when she was filming “Hall Pass” in 2010 and gave the public an idea that she was struggling with substance abuse”.
