Lindsey Vonn’s Dating History

Lindsey Kildow married Thomas Vonn, another American ski-racer and a 2002 Olympian in 2007, changing her name to Lindsey Vonn. After four years of marriage, they decided to divorce and move on. Post her divorce in 2013, she still kept her last name as Vonn.

Vonn met professional golfer Tiger Woods at an event in 2012. They began dating each other in 2013 and separated after two years. Later, in 2016 she dated NFL assistant coach Kenan Smith and broke up in late 2017.

In 2018, Vonn announced that she was dating Subban, who came to Are, Sweden to watch her win a bronze in the downhill segment of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championship. They announced their engagement in August 2019.

The Proposal and Beyond

As per the reports by Vogue, Subban went to Vonn’s L.A. home, based on a split-second decision right after he bought the ring. He chose an emerald ring because Vonn’s favourite colour was green and emerald was his birthstone too.

Subban further said that everything was seeming to be coming together. It was a full moon day. He was worried that she would want to be dressed up for the moment, and coincidentally, ‘she was’, because of a business meeting she had.

Four months later, on Christmas 2019, Vonn proposed Subban. The couple shared pictures on Instagram with matching striped pajamas with their dogs in Christmas wear as well. She said that ‘Men should get engagement rings too and P.K. deserves that.’ As Vonn said, she couldn’t wait to marry him. In May 2020, they bought a villa in Beverly Hills.

Quarantine Time

The COVID pandemic took a toll on their wedding plans. On October this year, Vonn mentioned about the delay of their wedding. Vonn and Subban went to Bahamas to celebrate her 36th birthday. They also became members of Angel City FC, an LA based team that would be playing in National Women’s Soccer League in 2022.

Vonn further explained that the plans could not proceed because Subban’s family was in Canada and it was not possible to go there. The family couldn’t arrive either, so they had to wait and see. But she assured that she was confident that it was going to happen.

The quarantine period, as per Vonn, strengthened her relationship with Subban. Because they were staying together and getting to see each other all the time, it quickened the process of getting to know each other.

She was curious about getting to know more about her fiance and felt herself getting closer during the period. Subban also congratulated her on December on Instagram, when she hosted the first ever Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of The Year Awards.

The Shocking Ending

While everything seemed serious about the relationship between the two; on December 29, about a year after Vonn proposed in return, the now ex-couple announced going splitsville on their respective Instagram handles, leaving fans shocked and sad.
