“Elite” is a Spanish thriller teen drama series that follows around a bunch of students in Spain who are enrolled in exclusive private school. The life of rich students in that school changed suddenly when new students got enrolled in that school. 


The first season of the show was streamed more than 20 million times making this show a hit one as it is the third biggest Spanish show on Netflix after “Narcos” and “Money Heist”. This crime thriller show was created by “Carlos Monte” and “Dario Madrona” and they did a beautiful job in creating this amazing show.


This show first aired on Netflix with its first season on 5th of October 2018 and after that second season was released next year on 6th of September 2019 and the third season was released this year only on March 13.

The third season focused on the emotional effects on the private school students that came from covering up the murders, love affairs etc. As Ester Expósito, the Spanish actress said that the latest season of the Spanish show “explored the feelings of the character…and it had a more slow rhythm.”

The beautiful Spanish also added, “It’s very emotional, and the characters go through really rough situations and times. But there’s a lot of love and not only, like, between girlfriends and boyfriends, but, also friends.” Well, the third season was a hit and people started craving for the fourth one as fans want to know what will happen in the next in the story.

When was Elite renewed for the new season?

Just after the release of the third season in March, the famous Spanish show was renewed by the Netflix in the next couple of months for the fourth season. “Elite” was renewed for the new season on May 22.


With the new season coming many characters won’t appear in the next season as Ester Expósito (Carla in the show) told OprahMag.com that “A cycle is closed.” Many characters along with Carla won’t appear in the upcoming season as new actors will be introduced.


Who is new and who left?

The actors that won’t be returning for the fourth season are Mina El Hammani (Nadia), Álvaro Rico (Polo), Ester Expósito (Carla), Danna Paola (Lucrecia) and Jorge López (Valerio).

Elite introduced the 4 new members for the show and show introduced the new cast through an Instagram post that was captioned as “Welcome to the Elite family”. The new cast members that will appear in the fourth season as the new high students are Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Pol Granch, and Manu Rios.

Filming of the new season

The pandemic that’s been going around all over the world has caused the problem for everyone and it has also created the problem for the directors to shoot next season of Elite. Pandemic stopped the filming of the show more than once.


First when the Covid situation became little better in Spain in June the filming of the new season started but when some positive cases were discovered in the set in August the shooting was stopped because the well being of the crew is first.

According to the social media posts by cast members, we can say that the filming of the new season was going on in the late month of November.

When will it come out?

It is confirmed that the show will release its new season next year but the main question is when. Well despite being so many delays it is believed that shooting is right on track and on time and we can expect the fourth season to release in the second or the third quarter of the next year.
