Nvidia is disclosing it’s brand new GForce RTX 3000 series cards today. Nvidia has been chaffing these new cards for several weeks, and there have also been plenty of drips before the RTX 3080 was made officially launched. Based on Nvidia’s new Ampere construction, the RTX 3080 is designed to be a successor to the RTX 2080 with improvised performance and ray-tracing assistance.
Key Specifications- Nvidia RTX 4060, 4070, 4080
Nvidia is assuring significant performance with the RTX 3080, double that of the RTX 2080, and quicker and efficiently than even Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti card. The card will vessel with 10GB of memory and will be rated at $699 when it launches on 17th September. Nvidia is using 8,703 CUDA cores on the RTX 3080, combined with a 1.71Ghz boost clock.
Interior Details –
Chiefly, this new GPU is an upgraded thermal design. Nvidia has generated an entire pennant-shaped board for RTX 3080, merged with a new cooling winding sheet. The new cooling system is modelled to improve airflow and overcome some of the drawbacks of the cooling that exist on the RTX 2080 to date.
It consists of a double-fan structure that is modeled to improve airflow by more than 55 percent, with an assurance of much calmer and more organized cooling. Nvidia is employing a bracket exhausting front fan, with a flow-through rear fan.
Nvidia is using a brand new 12-pin connector on its RTX 3000 series, which is smaller than teaching the use of two traditional eight-pin connectors.
The company will incorporate an adapter that’s congruent with 8-pin cables with its Founders Edition cards. Nvidia has chosen a 12-pin connector to allow more space on the board for components and cooling.
Besides the RTX 3080, Nvidia is also releasing an inexpensive RTX 3070 rated at $499 in October. This will still be a more efficient card than the preceding RTX 2080, at an affordable cost. The performance jump will also put the RTX 3070 above the 1080 cards for 1440p gaming.
This RTX 3070 card will also use an akin cooling system to the RTX 3080, with Nvidia’s assurance of improvised thermals and a calmer operation. Nvidia’s RTX 3070 will be available in October, rated at $499. Nvidia is using 5,888 CUDA cores on the RTX 3080, combined with a 1.71Ghz boost clock and 8GB of GDDR6 memory.
