Pewdipie Show Banned by Youtube
Rumors have begun to swirl all over social media that Felix Kjellberg’s PewDiePie channel was shadowbanned. This as speculated by most has been done by the streaming platform. According to the famous HubSpot, shadowbanning something translates to “the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community so that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned.”
In a smaller version, the fans of PewDiePie were widely shared on social media that they were searching for his youtube channel on the platform and that they did not receive the information back that they one would expect. One user even shared a screengrab video of what’s happening when they are attempting to find PewDiePie on YouTube.
It hasn’t taken long for these claims to begin trending on Twitter. With most people asking about what was going on with his youtube account. Others have said that they would search for the YouTuber on their platform and only extremely old videos would popup. None of the newer content would come up. Though he had just recently uploaded a video a few hours ago. The fans were struggling to find it, with followers saying that they never were notified that it went up.
