THE 355 IS THE FEMINIST MOVIE WE NEED IN THE INDUSTRY
Believe it or not, we are witnessing a revolution in the movie industry as more and more females take up the part of lead roles. The best thing is that mostly, such movies have been a commercial as well as critical success.
Films like Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Charlie’s Angels, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix have tried to make the storylines completely women-centric.
But all good things fall short somewhere or the other. The ilk of today’s feminist movies highlights the modern-day feminism to such an extent that the whole fabric of normalization is ruined. Because pity is no upliftment. Upliftment is upliftment.
One celebrity who has understood this idea is Simon Kinberg. Kinberg is a long-time writer-producer and made his directorial debut in 2019’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Simon has managed to pull off some exceptional scripts such as Sherlock Holmes, Jumper, and X-Men: Days of Future Past (probably the first of a kind movie in the Comic-book genre).
Let us take a look into what Kinberg has in his hat for his next project.
