Former Australia cricketer Dean Jones died due to heart attack

Retired Australia cricketer Dean Jones died in Mumbai on Thursday after undergoing a heart attack. He was 59. Jones was in Mumbai as a commentator for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. It is comprehended that Brett Lee, his fellow announcer, attempted to provide him with CPR but unsuccessfully. On Thursday morning Jones gave advent to breakfast with Lee and another commentator, Nikhil Chopra.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) conveyed sadness on Jones’ death. “We are very unhappy to listen to of Dean’s unexpected death and I would like to expand our deep comforts to his family and friends on behalf of the ICC,” said Manu Sawhney, the ICC Chief Executive. “Dean was a productive batter playing in 52 Tests and 164 ODIs and was a portion of the 1987 Australia squad who earned the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. “He had a substantial consequence on the game of cricket as a player, as a supporter for the improvement of the recreation as a coach and latterly in his part as a commentator. He will be sorely missed by all those in the cricket family,” Sawhney expanded.
