The much-awaited OnePlus 8T is finally coming on 14th October. If you are watching IPL you might have seen RDJ’s ad during the matches.
The Launch
OnePlus is unveiling this much-awaited smartphone on 14th October at 7:30 PM IST (10:00 AM EDT). The company is using the hashtag “Ultra Stops at Nothing” to promote this device. However, if you have been paying close attention, you might have noticed that OnePlus is only referring to OnePlus 8T in all the teaser videos. There is no mention of the Pro model. So, there is a high probability that this year we might not get OnePlus 8T Pro. This, however, doesn’t come as a surprise. Since last year OnePlus 7T was a smashing hit while the Pro one didn’t taste the same amount of success.
All the rumours
First, let’s talk about the display. OnePlus 8T will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is going to be flat and not curved. You can expect a high screen-to-body ratio. There is going to be a punch-hole cutout which will have a 32MP selfie camera.
On the rear, the device is going to have a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Coming to the internals, the device is going to have a 4,500mAH battery. It is going to be powered by Snapdragon 865 or an 865+ chipset. And up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
OnePlus might also release its first-ever smartwatch, a new power bank, and new truly wireless earbuds.
