Kim Jong-Un has Issued A Shoot-To-Kill Order In North Korea To Prevent The Spread Of Corona Virus

North Korea is known as the hermit kingdom because it is known to walls itself off from the rest of the world. None of the reporters are allowed in the country. The tourists also need to take special permission to visit the country. Despite the virus taking over the entire world, North Korea has not reported even a single case. Now that they’ve declared this kill order, it creates a buffer zone between the countries of China and North Korea.

North Korea is known to have a crumbling healthcare system, and if there is a virus outbreak there, the country is struggling to cope up with it.

What Have They Done To Prevent The Outbreak In North Korea?

When the Corona Virus outbreak took place in Chine, 2 km (1.2 miles) away from the border of North Kore. The North Korean government decided to close its Pyongyang border in January to prevent contamination. This resulted in higher demands of smuggling of goods. In July, the state media revealed that the state had raised its emergency to the maximum level.

The USFK (US Forces Korea ) commander Robert Abrams stated that the border shutdown had increased demand for smuggled goods, provoking authorities to intervene. The closing of borders resulted in a buffer zone. The buffer zone is of one or two kilometres towards the Chinese border. This was stated by Robert Abrams in an online press conference. The conference was organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington on Thursday.

“They’ve got North Korean SOF (Special Operations Forces) out there. … Strike forces, they’ve got shoot-to-kill orders in place.” said Abrams. Looking at the history of North Korea, they won’t hold back.

How Did The Border Closure Help?

The border closure has effectively helped in bringing down the number of cases. It has also “accelerated the effects” of economic sanctions imposed on the North over its nuclear programs, he added, with imports from China plunging 85 per cent.

The isolated country of North Korea is known to now catching with the aftermath of Typhoon Maysak, with its state media reporting more than 2,000 houses have been destroyed or inundated. But still, North Korea has made absolutely no statements about it.

Though Robert Abrams did not see any major threats in the Pyongyang region of the North Korea- China border, he said they might show off new weapon system at next month’s celebrations. Which will be held in honour of the 75th anniversary of the founding of Kim Jong Un’s ruling party.

“The regime right now — the military — is focused principally on getting their country recovered and to help mitigate the risk of Covid-19,” he said.

“We’re not seeing any indications right now of any sort of lashing out.”

The suspicion of North Kores sowing off its new weapons is not just a j=hunch. It comes from the satellite image of North Korea’s Sinpo South naval shipyard. The images were published by CSIS. These photos force the experts to believe that activity could indicate preparations for a test of a submarine-launched ballistic missile.
