Apple’s Launch
Apple Glass aimed at facilitating users to view any location virtually from where you are and got exclusive government rights. The first glass for every iPhone was commenced in 2007 by corning. Apple made a second investment about $250 million in an American multinational technology company which was specialized in specialty glass, ceramics, and related materials and technologies including advanced optics, primarily for industrial and scientific applications called corning Inc for future iPhone glass research.
Once the Tim Cook – Chief Executive Officer of Apple walks on stage in Cupertino wearing a pair of Apple Glasses, but the leaks are still coming fast and furious. Instead of viewing the part of the world you want to see on a phone screen, you will be projected on to your lenses as if you are there. Fresh off the back of an Apple Glass patent suggesting wearers could navigate by subtle audio cues, Apple has another navigation patent which is just as strange, but could certainly prove to be immersive. As spotted by Apple Insider, the patent shows how something like Apple Maps’ Look Around or Google’s Street View could be replicated on the glasses
Apple Glass
Purposely, the eyewear is expected to synchronize with a wearer’s iPhone to display things such as texts, emails, maps, and games over the user’s field of vision.” Thus, the Apple AR Glasses will carry information from your phone to your face. Thus the Apple Glass patent directs and lets you view divisions of the world you want to see, similar to Google’s Street View. The only difference is that this view would be projected directly onto the Apple Glass lenses. And you could digitally teleport to different locations.
Features
- The glasses are said to look similar to regular glasses, with both lenses to feature displays that can be interacted with using gestures. Apple Glass won’t need prescription lenses as the smart glasses but if needed by the user can avail at an additional cost.
- It will automatically adjust for people with poor eyesight using an “optical sub-assembly”. This is granted for a standalone smartphone-powered VR headset or a second-generation pair of Apple smart glasses.
- Apple glass is much immersive compared to the Apple product Maps app which is recently called Look Around because of its ability in generating a three-dimensional image that appears to surround the user realistically.
- Apple glass patent facilitates the changing of backgrounds on the fly, zooming, and chroma keying performance in the headset which is replacing a solid color background with something else.
- Apple Glass prototype looks like an “un-intimidating” pair of plastic glasses, while marketing materials suggest a Clark Kent-esque design.
- LiDAR scanner on the right temple, but no other cameras for privacy reasons. The glasses also come with a plastic stand with wireless chargers.
Being a fashion accessory to the iPhone has propositions on the Apple Glass design. Though the glasses won’t be as lightweight as your Ray-Ban aviators, they could be light enough and comfortable enough to work as everyday glasses.
