OnePlus out of the blue introduced the mid-range and budget-friendly phone, OnePlus Nord in July 2020. Even though the phone didn’t get a worldwide release, the phone still performed well in the market. The phone became extremely popular in Indian and a few European markets. OnePlus released the most expensive OnePlus phone ever with the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, but also released phones like Nord.
Now, the latest reports claim that the manufacturer will further bring cheaper smartphones, OnePlus Nord Lite. The company hasn’t shared any official announcement about the phone yet, but leakers have already discovered several reports regarding the upcoming Nord Lite. The reason OnePlus is so convinced to introduce mid-range phone is getting mainstream and increase sale numbers, obviously.
OnePlus Nord Lite specifications
The phone won’t certainly feature the premium features like Nord or any high-end components from the flagship phones. However, the phone will have a few features amazingly designed that will enhance the user experience. Among the features, the Lite version could have is a smooth software interface, high refresh rate, and better battery capacity.
OnePlus Nord isn’t the only entry-level phones we’ve been hearing these past weeks. There are reports about phones like OnePlus Clover and OnePlus Aurora. Some claimed that these are different phones, while some suggested that these all are the same phone — OnePlus Nord Lite — referred to as a codename.
OnePlus Nord Lite release date
The next phone from the company isn’t obviously the OnePlus Nord Lite. The upcoming phone would potentially be the OnePlus 8T and 8T Pr, which are set to become the most expensive OnePlus phones. Elsewhere, there are reports that the company is developing OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro with Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, Snapdragon 875.
Officially, there isn’t any word form the manufacturers but the leakers have suggested few release date. A Twitter tipster, with a good track record, suggested that the company will release the Nord Lite in late September in 2020. The new phone will hit the Indian and the North American markets.
