Letitia Wright Will BECOME the Next Black Panther in Upcoming Sequel After Chadwick Boseman’s Death

The world of a cinema recently lost one of the finest gems in Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman. Boseman died on August 28, 2020, due to the complications of colon cancer, which he had kept hidden for years. He reportedly diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 but never revealed publicly. The colon cancer developed into Stage 4, in 2020, which led into the harrowing and untimely demise.

Boseman still had a long career ahead of him, as Marvel Studios was planning to work on the sequel of the blockbuster 2018’s film, Black Panther. The 43-year-old actor portrayed the titular Black Panther, aka T’Challa in the 2018’s critically successful superhero film, with a predominately black cast and crew. It is obviously too soon to talk about Boseman’s replacement as the iconic character. The loyal fans have already urged the studio not to recast the Black Panther.

When Black Panther released in 2018, the film along with Boseman’s performance brought positive impact in the pop-culture. Everyone who watched the movie thought Boseman was really born to play that character. His majestic performance garnered widespread appreciation and his image has become legendary.

Shuri, T’Challa’s genius sister is the best choice to become the next Black Panther!

Fans have been asking the production company, Marvel Studios, not to recast Black Panther with some other actor. They want to preserve Boseman’s well-deserved legacy. Fans think it would be great to pass the mantle to some other prominent character instead of recasting Black Panther’s role.

Jamil Smith of the Rolling Stone suggested that Marvel Studios should follow the story of comics and pass the mantle to Shuri. Letitia Right (who portrays tech genius Shuri) should rightfully don the mantle of Black Panther and take the central role. There were similar reports earlier this year from the production company. Marvel Studios reportedly wanted to bring diversity by introducing a female Black Panther in the sequel.

Boseman was reportedly unhappy with the Marvel’s such future plan, but now it looks the only option, and the best one to pay Boseman’s legacy.
