Recent Updation in ROG Phone 3- Exclusion of Black Crush Issue
Asus company is back with OEM for another bugfix update. There new software version- 17.0823.2007.58 addresses a Black crush issue which some users are facing with ROG Phone 3 display.
Now, most of us may not know what Black Crush means, it refers to a certain condition where a display panel outputs inconsistent colors and severely pixelated blocks while rendering blacks on the screen.
Moderator of ZenTalk Community implies on Black Crush being when watching videos on Netflix, it has its roots in the automatic brightness algorithm.
Asus is trying to fix this issue with a new firmware that contains a dedicated fix for the conflict between Netflix and system brightness functions.
Asus has fixed all the problematic situations which the users were facing like:
- Fixed the conflict between Netflix and brightness functionality.
- The detection of ROG Strix Arion SSD issue from the bottom USB port is fixed.
- A large difference between the total power consumption items under the battery page and the actual battery display in the status bar is fixed.
- Armory Crate now supports portrait mode.
