Fitbit Versa 3: The First Smartwatch to FEATURE Two MAJOR Voice Assistants, Price, Features, Release Date

Fitbit’s third-generation smartwatch, Fitbit Versa 3 has been officially launched on August 24. The fitness company conducted a virtual press event where they announced the release of new health-focused Fitbit Versa 3. The new smartwatch has added further amazing features that will ultimately enhance the user experience.

Fitbit has already started the pre-order of Fitbit Versa 3. The company started the pre-order from August 25 on their official website and few other official Fitbit retailers. The Fitbit Versa 3 costs $229, which is comparatively expensive than the previous Versa 2. But Versa 3’s features and upgrades make the price increment justifiable.

The reports claim that the company will start shipping Versa 3 from September. However, the company hasn’t given the exact date. Fitbit Versa 3’s band is interchangeable. You can buy Fitbit’s Versa 3’s band at $30. Fitbit will sell out the new smartwatch in three variants — the black/black aluminium, midnight/soft gold aluminium, and pink clay/soft gold aluminium.

Fitbit Versa 3: Features

Versa 3 seems similar to the previous Versa(s). But when you hold it, you would realise the edges have gone softer. The dimension of the display has extended to 336 x 336-pixel from previous 300 x 300-pixel. Versa 3 introduced an onboard GPS, something that the second-generation Versa lacked. However, you can find this feature in recently launched Fitbit Charge 4.

Since Versa 3 has a laser focus on health and fitness, you can earn the AHA’s and WHO’s recommended Active Zone Minutes. Versa 3 has the Active Zone Minutes monitors that will help you to maintain the 150 Active Zone Minutes each week. The Fitbit Versa 3 will have all the features that its previous generation had. Fitbit doesn’t have ECG tracking but the latest premium Fitbit smartwatch, Fitbit Sense has this feature.

The Fitbit Versa 3 will be the first smartwatch to support two major voice assistants — Google Assitant and Alexa. Versa 2 had built-in Alexa, but not the Google Assitant, and now you can use both. Fitbit claims that its two new smartwatches, Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense, both can run for 6 days without the need of charging, once fully charged.
