Digital Chat Station reported the details and mentioned the multiple variants might include the ‘lite’ version of the chipset.

This is the newest development in the release of Snapdragon 875. The previous rumor suggested that the chipset will release on higher prices compared to Snapdragon 865. The major reason why the company wants to hike Snapdragon’s price is due to the addition of 5G modules. The company understands that every people wouldn’t love the idea of paying a high price for the chipset. So, in this situation comes the lite version for modest needs.

Consumers who want a top-notch performance will buy the top variant while the people with limited needs will buy the lite variant. However, all the variants would be on the 800 series, and we can expect a first-class speed. But, consumers may feel frustrated in the performance department, as well the chipset might bring 5G connectivity issues.

Qualcomm hasn’t talked about the release date of the upcoming flagship chipset. Snapdragon 875 will feature a custom Cortex-A78 cores, and then the Cortex-X1 Super Core. The configuration for the chipset will be similar to the previous chipset, a 1+3+4 core configuration. Thanks to the inclusion of the Cortex-X1 Super Core, the user can experience a 30% increment in the performance as compared to the previous chipset.
