The first game of the Eastern Conference semi-finals will kick off today when Boston Celtics take on the defending champion Toronto Raptors. The two teams will play seven games in the series and the team with most wins advances to the conference finals. The match will be played inside the NBA Bubble, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The official tip-off of the game is scheduled at 1.00 PM ET on Sunday, August 30th. The game was previously scheduled for 27th August, but the game didn’t happen due to players’ protest for police brutality.
The team returned to the practice on Friday, and today, they will kick off NBA Playoffs’ second round. Boston Celtics reached the semis after sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers, while Raports swept the Brooklyn Nets. Celtics’ Jayson Tatum took center stage in defeating 76ers and will continue troubling Raptors’ defense. Fred Vanvleet and Pascal Siakam, both with over 20 points per game, are leading the way for Nick Nurse’s team.
As per the injury report, Celtics are playing without their regular forward Gordon Hayward. Hayward suffered a right ankle sprain in Game 1 in Round 1. While there aren’t any notable injured players in Raptors, but guard Kyle Lowry’s appearance is questionable.
